You will be responsible for the supervision and care of pupils attending theBreakfast/After School Club and will organise and provide an appropriate range of activities and food. You will ensure the health and safety, welfare, good conduct and behaviour of the pupils is met in accordance with the practices and procedures of the school.
It Is Essential That You Have
- Previous experience of working with children/young people in a school environment.
- Literacy and numeracy skills in order to write simple reports and perform simple calculations.
- Verbal communication skills in order to liaise with children/young people and other staff members.
It is also essential that you have experience of encouraging the development of relationships between children/young people and have the ability to react in a positive manner to difficult situations which may arise amongst children/young people.
As part of your wider duties and responsibilities you are required to promote and actively support the Councils responsibilities towards safeguarding. Safeguarding is about keeping people safe and protecting them from harm, neglect, abuse and injury. It is about creating safe places, being vigilant and doing something about any concerns you might have.
