About the role

Kingsland Primary School – a successful two‑site school catering for pupils with severe and profound learning disabilities – is seeking a Finance Manager. The role requires working on either or both sites and effective cross‑site collaboration. The successful candidate will start as soon as possible.

Key duties:

  • Take a lead role in the planning, monitoring and evaluation of budgets and expenditure, attending regular meetings with the Council's finance/accountancy team.
  • Prepare financial reports for the Headteacher and Governing Body.
  • Provide advice to the Headteacher regarding appropriate levels of insurance.
  • Oversee the school's payment systems.
  • Support colleagues within the Senior Administration Team in managing financial aspects of their roles.

Qualifications and experience

The successful candidate should have relevant qualifications and/or experience of financial management within a busy working environment, and be professional, good interpersonal, highly motivated, hardworking and proactive. Disclosure application and criminal conviction information will be required.
