We manage and deliver construction-related projects, including new builds, extensions, and remodelling schemes for schools, leisure centres, offices, depots, care homes, and listed buildings. Key Responsibilities: Range of skills and abilities include having a detailed knowledge of mechanical issues associated with new build, extensions, remodelling and refurbishment of all building types including historic and listed buildings. Specialist duties and responsibilities may include ‘some or all’ of the list below:
- Heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems (HVAC)
- Kitchen and Fume Extraction Systems
- Refrigeration and Chilled Water Systems
- Building energy management systems (BEM’s)
- Fire detection and protection systems
- Pressurized Systems
- Hot and cold-water services
- Energy supply (gas)
- Renewable Technologies
- Environmental awareness including new and improved energy conservation systems for buildings
- Legislative requirements for example: DSEAR and Complying with Environmental Policies
What We’re Looking For:
Qualifications: Extended previous formal training, to graduate or professional qualification level, or equivalent, plus training and experience in the application of the knowledge to the specific requirements of the job. Knowledge of industry-standard software, and experience of using software packages e.g. word, excel, etc including bespoke packages for example: AutoDesk, NBS and Hevacomp. Continuing Professional Development education to keep up with new technologies, materials, and methods in construction is highly recommended.
Flexibility: Ability to travel independently to various locations and visit construction sites, including ascending and descending scaffolding.
