Maternity cover for a Year 6 class teacher to commence Monday 3rd November 2025

This job is available as 5 days (full-time) or as 3 days (part-time – days to be negotiated).

Due to an upcoming maternity leave, we are seeking to appoint an effective, enthusiastic and creative classroom teacher to join our Year 6 team. The post is for either five days or three days a week. The successful candidate should have high expectations and be able to motivate children to ma e good progress. Relevant experience of teaching in Year 6 or upper key stage 2 is preferable, but is not essential. If you are a committed, energetic, inspirational teacher and would like to join our successful team, we would love to hear from you.

• experience of teaching in upper Key Stage 2 and preferably in Year 6
• to have high expectations for standards of achievement, progress and behaviour
• to have a passion for teaching and the ability to inspire and motivate

• to have ambition for both themselves and the school
• to be willing and able to lead and support within a subject team alongside other teachers
• the dedication to make a difference beyond the classroom by immersing themselves in school life
