Overview

Teacher All Key Stages – Boothroyd Primary Academy. To start September 2025. Part-time position based at Boothroyd Primary Academy, Temple Road, Dewsbury, WF13 3QE. Permanent role, MPS/UPS salary scale.

Advertised by Kirklees Council on behalf of Boothroyd Primary Academy. The role is initially to work predominantly across Year 4 and Year 5 classes, with occasions to cover all key stages for a small portion of the role each week. Ideally, the candidate will be able to work all day Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday each week. PPA to be completed at home (reimbursed).

We are seeking a committed teacher who can contribute to a positive learning culture and make a difference in the lives of young people.

  • Be an excellent classroom teacher who can promote and model excellent primary practice.
  • Be dynamic, innovative and able to bring exciting ideas to the school with an awareness of effective pedagogical approaches and how to implement them.
  • Be hardworking, self-motivated and resilient with a passion for enabling children to reach their potential.
  • Adopt a creative, child-centred approach to teaching and learning.
  • Create a stimulating learning environment and be keen to develop and share knowledge and expertise with colleagues, becoming involved in all aspects of school life.
  • Be enthusiastic with a good sense of humour and have a clear awareness of year-group expectations and curriculum progression.
  • We will tailor the role to match the strengths of the successful candidate, with opportunities for leadership as appropriate.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience in primary education with the ability to teach across key stages as required.
  • Leadership experience is desirable.
