About the Role
Belmont Recruitment is currently looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join Kirklees Council. This role involves:
- Leading recruitment campaigns for a wide range of roles across the Council, focusing on hard‑to‑fill and specialist positions.
- Using LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean searches, and creative sourcing techniques to identify and engage talent proactively.
- Reviewing and improving job adverts, candidate attraction methods, and campaign strategies.
- Advising hiring managers on recruitment best practices, selection methods, and interview processes.
- Supporting the recruitment of senior posts (up to Head of Service level), including interview panel coordination and candidate management.
- Building effective relationships with internal stakeholders to understand workforce needs and deliver tailored recruitment solutions.
- Contributing to continuous improvement in talent acquisition processes across the Council.

You are an experienced recruitment professional with strong stakeholder management skills and a hands‑on approach to sourcing and candidate engagement. You understand what great talent acquisition looks like and are confident advising managers on how to achieve it.
