About The Role Are you passionate about improving housing services and preventing homelessness? Kirklees Council is seeking a proactive and skilled Senior Housing Solutions Officer – Projects to lead and deliver service improvement initiatives across our Housing Solutions teams. This is a dynamic role focused on developing and implementing projects that enhance service delivery, communication, and operational efficiency. You’ll work across various teams including Advice and Assessment, Accommodation, Young People & Support, Refugee Resettlement, Rough Sleeping, Private Rented Partnership, Housing Access, and Housing Compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead time-limited projects under the guidance of a Team or Operations Manager.
- Develop and review protocols for joint working across teams and with external partners.
- Analyse performance data to identify areas for improvement in training, processes, and communication.
- Deliver briefings and training sessions related to project outcomes.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to service-wide initiatives and improvements.
- Support and supervise staff where required by specific projects.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong understanding of housing legislation and homelessness prevention.
- Experience in project management and service improvement.
- Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.
- Ability to analyse data and use insights to drive change.
- Skilled in process mapping and protocol development.
- IT proficiency to monitor project progress and outcomes.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
