SEND Teaching Assistant – Howard Park Community School
Join us at Howard Park Community School to work as a SEND Teaching Assistant. This temporary role supports a child with an Education and Health Care Plan (EHC) in our EYFS provision.
About the role
The role involves 1‑to‑1 support for a child with an EHC, working closely with teachers and other staff to ensure a nurturing environment that promotes learning and development.
Key responsibilities
- Provide 1‑to‑1 support to a child with an EHC.
- Support the child in EYFS settings and classrooms.
- Collaborate with experienced staff to plan and deliver inclusive activities.

Hours: 30.5 hours per week (term time only).
Salary: £17,926 – £19,106 per annum.
Contract: 31st August 2026 (temporary, with potential for continuation beyond 8 months).
Grade: Grade 6.
All staff are subject to an enhanced DBS check. A conviction may not exclude candidates from appointment but will be considered as part of the recruitment process.
