Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities will be teaching a wide range of sessions to students working at Entry Level 3 to Level 2. You will be confident in the delivery of personal development skills and you will have a good understanding of SEND, neurodiversity, mental health needs and behavioural issues and how these impact on young people in learning environments.
Qualifications
Ideally you’ll have Level 3 or higher (the specific subject area is less important than the transferrable skills), a teaching qualification at Level 5 and Maths & English at Level 2 (or be able to prove equivalent ability) and demonstrable experience in SEND teaching. You will have appropriate teaching strategies to support learning; particularly with students with SEND or SEMH needs. It’s important that you’re able to show a trauma informed approach and demonstrate our college values of Kindness, Unity and Excellence in your role. You will be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
