The Home and It’s Staff: Moorlands Grange is a modern, 40 bed care centre for people who require short stay care after leaving hospital. In partnership with Locala Health Care, we support the residents of Kirklees gain independence and keep their dignity. Moorlands Grange is made up of 4 suites where residents stay (Poppy, Heather, Rose and Sunflower) and it has many communal areas for residents to enjoy such as lounge and dining areas, and a wonderful garden. Our supportive staff team ensure the care we provide makes a real difference.

The Role: As a Support Worker, you will be working with vulnerable adults, and as part of a team, ensure quality care is given to our residents and carry out duties in line with service objectives, policies, procedures, and standards. These duties involve checking on residents, helping them get ready for the day ahead, updating paperwork and maintaining residents’ records, serving residents meals, ensuring residents are happy, comfortable, and engaging, along with personal care.
Role Requirements:
- Experience of working in a relevant care setting
- The possession of, or willingness to complete The Care Certificate
- Literacy skills
- Computer literate
- Excellent communication skills and be able to manage expectations
Please be aware that the current minimum salary threshold for Support Worker roles needed to apply for a visa via the Skilled Worker route is £25,500. The hours of these jobs mean that they do not meet sponsorship requirements.
