Moorlands Grange is a purpose-built home, located in Netherton, Huddersfield, registered to provide 24 hour recovery and in reach therapy care. Service users are with us for 4-6 weeks. Staff are trained to treat residents whose diagnosis of Delirium/dementia means that they need extra support and understanding.

The Role: As Cook, you will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting meals and sweet items, while providing a high-quality customer-focused service. As part of this role you will:

  • Provide nutritious home cooked meals that meet the needs of each individual
  • Support the team to plan, develop and improve nutrition and hydration for each individual
  • Work as part of a team to provide excellent customer care

What we need from you:

  • To be able to meet high standards of quality and health and safety through our training programmes
  • To be comfortable in a very flexible, fast-paced working environment
  • Ideally you will have a food hygiene certificate, however, we will provide training to obtain this award
  • Ability to achieve the level 2 award in food allergen awareness and control in catering
  • To undertake duties including ordering provisions and recording information
