Reception Lunchtime Assistant – 11:45am to 12:45pm each day (term time only); Educational Teaching Assistant in Nursery – Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 12:45pm to 3:15pm and Wednesday from 8:30am to 11:30am.

Responsibilities

  • Promoting and encouraging good table manners and healthy eating
  • Promoting and encouraging games and activities at lunchtime
  • Working as a team with other staff and liaising with teachers as needed
  • Ensuring appropriate behaviour and addressing issues during lunchtime
  • Supporting children in Nursery in accessing provision and developing learning and social skills
  • Being a key worker and keeping electronic logs of progress for children in Nursery
  • Working under the direction of the teacher
  • Following school policies and procedures

Qualifications and requirements

  • Experience of working with children/young people in a school environment is essential
  • Ability to communicate effectively with pupils, parents and staff
  • DBS check (enhanced) required; a conviction may be considered as part of the recruitment process
