We do a great variety of work in our libraries, so no two days are ever the same. We engage with local communities and deliver activities for people at every stage of their life. Due to the people-focused nature of our work, it can be challenging, but also very rewarding. We work with partner organisations and communities to deliver a range of services.

We are looking for self‑motivated people who are happy to work on their own or as part of a team. Although the post has regular hours, we are looking for flexibility as we will require you to work at more than one branch each week. All our staff work flexibly to meet the needs of the service.

You will be required to work some evenings until 7:30pm, and weekends. We have 24 libraries across all Kirklees, and the role requires flexibility to work across various locations within the service as needed, including at short notice, you may be expected to work across all when needed.
