Overview: The White Rose Forest (WRF) partnership, via Kirklees Council, is recruiting an experienced GIS and Data Manager to join the team on a permanent basis. The WRF is the largest of the 15 Community Forests in England and works in partnership with local and regional government authorities, national parks, landowners, businesses and communities across North and West Yorkshire. In 2026 the partnership will launch a new long‑term Strategy and 5‑year Action Plan to set out its vision and targets for woodland creation and management, and continue the Government‑funded Trees for Climate programme.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Under the line management of the WRF Programme Director, the successful applicant will be responsible for the management and continuous improvement of WRF GIS data and systems.
  • Provide related training and support to the central team and partners as required.
  • Regular attendance at monthly meetings across North and West Yorkshire.
  • Ability to travel independently.

Qualifications:

  • Degree-level qualification in a subject with analytical content or demonstrate the ability to work at this level.
  • Strong relevant work experience and knowledge that meets the essential skills and experience detailed in the full job description.

Working Arrangements:
