The Teacher Education Assessor is responsible for assessing and supporting trainee teachers and education practitioners to achieve professional and qualification standards. The role includes conducting teaching observations, reviewing evidence of competence, providing constructive feedback, monitoring learner progress, and maintaining accurate assessment records. The post holder ensures compliance with awarding body, regulatory, safeguarding, equality, diversity, inclusion, and data protection requirements, while contributing to quality assurance activities. Working closely with learners, employers, schools, colleges, mentors, and other stakeholders, they support achievement, participate in standardisation and moderation activities, and drive continuous improvement through the implementation of best practice, professional development, and enhancements to curriculum and assessment processes.
