Teaching Assistant and Lunchtime Supervisor at Highburton CE Academy

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, committed, caring and diligent person as a Teaching Assistant and Lunchtime Supervisor working 1.1 with a child with complex needs. As the child becomes more settled and confident in the provision, the role my broaden to helping other children in the class.

The successful candidate will:

  • be able to provide a friendly and professional service to our children
  • to assist with the personal needs of pupils including social, health, physical, hygiene, first aid and welfare matters.
  • to assist with the supervision of pupils ensuring their safety and access to learning
  • provide high level supervison and support for pupils in the class room, dining hall and the playground
  • help to develop social skills through play and promoting children’s physical and emotional wellbeing
  • be dedicated and patient
  • be able to work effectively with pupils and within a team of other staff members
  • have a flexible manner which is honest and friendly and the ability to communicate at all levels
