Location: Based at Huddersfield – travel to other centres required.
Hours: 18 hours / 40 weeks.
You will act as a key point of contact for students, delivering a welcoming and professional frontline service and providing advice on a wide range of support, including financial assistance, wellbeing and access to college services. You will assess and administer Learner Support Funds, ensuring fair and consistent decision‑making in line with funding guidance. The role involves effectively triaging student needs, making timely referrals to internal and external support services, and responding appropriately to sensitive or complex situations, including those involving vulnerability or safeguarding concerns. You will maintain accurate records, ensuring compliance with ESFA, audit and GDPR requirements, while supporting the effective management of student support budgets. You will work collaboratively with colleagues across the college and external partners to ensure a joined‑up approach to student support, contributing to service improvements and a positive student experience. You will be approachable, professional, and committed to delivering an excellent student experience. You will have a genuine passion for supporting students to succeed.
Responsibilities:
- Provide frontline support and advice to students across a range of services.

Qualifications:
- Level 2 qualification or equivalent ability.
- Demonstrable experience in Customer Service and IT.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with young people.
- Excellent keyboard skills and extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promotion of the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
