In the role of Project Manager – Capital Projects you’ll predominantly be based at Waterfront, Huddersfield and your focus will be on managing the successful delivery of the College's capital projects and estate improvement programmes, ensuring works are completed safely, compliantly, on time and within budget while enhancing the learner environment and estate performance.
Your key responsibilities will be managing the day-to-day delivery of capital projects, refurbishment programmes and estate improvement works across the College. The role coordinates project planning, procurement, contractors, consultants, budgets and programme performance to ensure projects are delivered safely, compliantly, on time and within budget. Working closely with stakeholders across the College, the postholder will help translate capital investment plans into successful project outcomes, ensuring works enhance the learner experience, improve estate performance, minimise operational disruption and deliver value for money.
Ideally, you’ll have relevant construction, engineering or project management qualification (or be able to prove equivalent ability) and demonstrable experience in delivering capital projects, refurbishment programmes or construction schemes within a complex operational environment. It’s important that you’re able to effectively manage projects, budgets, contractors and stakeholders, communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences, and work collaboratively to deliver successful outcomes and demonstrate our College values of Kindness, Unity and Excellence in your role.
