Following some staff changes we have an opportunity for a new person to come and join Southgate School to provide support to our pupils with their needs around personal care.
Responsibilities
In your role of Personal Care Assistant, you will have the chance to make a positive impact on our pupils by supporting them to gain independence in managing their hygiene and personal care. You will be part of a positive staff team who support each other and you will support the Personal Care Officer to develop intimate Care Plans.

Please note that some of our training takes place outside of your normal working hours.

This role is designed to fit around your life. You will be in school between 9.15am to 2.30pm allowing you flexibility to manage your work life balance. This is an ideal role for people wanting to work part time or who are looking to gain experience in a school setting. Induction
Successful candidates would be expected to attend an induction day that will take place from 9am until 3pm on Tuesday 1 September 2026.
