Location: Engineering Centre

Hours and Weeks per Year: 37 hours / 52 weeks

Responsibilities
  • Deliver high‑quality TLA both within workshops and classrooms.
  • Assess KSBs within college against the apprenticeship standard.
  • Track and assess delivered apprentice progress via E‑Portfolio systems.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to meet stakeholder expectations.
  • Set individualised SMART targets for timetabled apprentices.
  • Liaise effectively with your team and work closely with work‑placed trainer assessors.
  • Deliver specific units within mandated qualifications.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Desirable Assessor qualifications and a teaching qualification, or willingness to work toward them.
  • Relevant fabrication & welding vocational knowledge to teach and assess within the college delivery environment.
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to engage with young people and stakeholders while demonstrating the college values of Kindness, Unity, and Excellence.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults.
