Location: Waterfront, Huddersfield

Salary: £41,746.00 – £44,704.00

Hours: 37 hours per year, 52 weeks

Job Title: Lecturer in Biology – focus on delivering, monitoring, and planning Biology Science courses across levels 1, 2 and 3 BTEC Applied Science, including Access to HE Biology at levels 2 and 3.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and effective teaching of Biology Science courses.
  • Plan, assess, and prepare students for progression.
  • Monitor student progress, learning and attendance.
  • Maintain a high standard of safeguarding and promote the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE or equivalent).
  • Demonstrable experience teaching Biology Science topics.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to engage with young people.
  • Strong understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion principles.
