Role Overview

Are you a caring and compassionate individual looking to make a real difference in people's lives? Then join our amazing Home Support Team at Kirklees Council! We are expanding our service and have exciting opportunities for you to become a Home Support Worker in our Short Term and Urgent Support teams across Kirklees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist those recently discharged from the hospital to provide urgent support after a fall, preventing hospital admissions.
  • Support therapy and exercise plans, outdoor mobility practice, personal care, medication assistance, meal support, and more.
  • Provide care to individuals in their homes to help them become as independent as possible.
  • Collaborate closely with the team to ensure the best possible care for our clients.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation as required.

Shift Patterns

We offer a selection of different shift patterns including 21 and 25 hour contracts across both North and South Kirklees and 28 hour contracts with Mobile Response.

Salary Details:

  • 21 hours: £14,520.08 - £14,750.51 per annum plus enhancement / £13.26 - £13.47 per hour including 7% enhancement (hourly rate including enhancement is £14.19)
  • 25 hours: £17,285.81 - £17,560.14 per annum plus enhancement / £13.26 - £13.47 per hour including 7% enhancement (hourly rate including enhancement is £14.19)
  • 28 hours: £19,360.11 - £19,667.35 per annum plus enhancement / £13.26 - £13.47 per hour including 7% enhancement (hourly rate including enhancement is £14.19)

Travel Requirement
