About the Role

Kirklees Council, Homes & Neighbourhoods (H&N) manages the repair and maintenance of around 22,000 homes and 300 public buildings. Our vision is to provide Quality Homes and Services in successful communities. The role is for an Electrician’s mate in our planned electrical depot. The role involves travelling throughout Kirklees and the surrounding areas to deliver the duties of this position and meet the needs of the organisation and our customers. You will work as part of a rewire team to deliver projects to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Travel throughout Kirklees and surrounding areas.
  • Work as part of a rewire team to deliver electrical installations to a high standard.
  • Work flexibly around core hours with an annual hours allowance; overtime and call-out rota participation may be required.

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication and customer-care skills to liaise effectively with a variety of customers and clients.
  • Experience of domestic and/or commercial electrical rewire projects.
  • Full UK valid driving licence.

Requirements

  • An enhanced Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check will be required. A conviction may not exclude candidates from appointment but will be considered as part of the process.
