Horbury Academy is seeking to appoint an Education Welfare Officer to oversee Educational Welfare across the academy and work closely with the Student Support Team & Pastoral staff to improve academy attendance for all pupils.

Responsibilities:

  • Work as part of the Student Support Team to improve academy attendance and promote positive attitudes towards regular school attendance on the part of pupils and their parents/carers.
  • Secure pupils’ regular attendance at school, including identifying causes of irregular attendance.
  • Liaise and coordinate with outside agencies and play a key role in ensuring all safeguarding and child protection procedures are adhered to.
