Position: 2x SENIOR EDUCATIONAL TEACHING ASSISTANT (Temporary)
Post 1 – Monday-Friday 8:40-12:15 (3.58 hours)
Post 2 – Monday-Friday 12:10-3:40 (3.5 hours)
For the right candidate, the posts may be combined into a single post (8:40-3:40 with a 30‑minute lunch break).

Hours: 17.5 or 17.9 per week (Term Time Only)

Salary: £12,099 – £12,706
Key Responsibilities:- Provide 1:1 support and implement bespoke additional needs plans based on an EHCP.
- Deliver de‑escalation techniques and trauma‑informed care.
- Support a child with bespoke learning activities, initially away from the main classroom.
- Work with class teachers and other key staff to improve engagement and reduce exclusions.
- Record and monitor progress.
- Previous experience working with children with SEND/SEMH in a primary setting.
- Training and experience with children who have complex communication needs and executive functioning differences.
- Strong behaviour management skills and a patient, nurturing, empathetic approach.
- Team‑Teach certification is highly desirable.
- Ability to build rapport with disengaged pupils.
- Calm under pressure with a positive, enthusiastic outlook.
