Birkby Junior School is an ambitious, inclusive, multi-cultural five-form entry school. We would like to appoint anenthusiastic and conscientious HLTA to join our team.
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic person to complement the professional work of our teachers. As a HLTA you will be supporting outstanding progress in learning. You will provide cover for classes and teachers including PPA. Duties will include; marking and feedback for pupils; lesson resourcing and planning; leading a range of teaching tasks.
You must be able to work as part of a team to support the learning and welfare of pupils in school.Experience of working with children/young people in a school environment and knowledge of the national curriculum are essential for this job.
As part of your wider duties and responsibilities you are required to promote and actively support the Councils responsibilities towards safeguarding. Safeguarding is about keeping people safe and protecting them from harm, neglect, abuse and injury. It is about creating safe places, being vigilant and doing something about any concerns you might have.
