We are looking to recruit a Community Link Worker to be part of the Neighbourhood Team at Halifax Central Initiative, based at Elsie Whitely Innovation Centre.
Responsibilities
- Work with residents from all communities, with particular focus on Eastern European and Roma Heritage residents.
- Build and maintain relationships with community groups and residents.
- Provide support and link residents to relevant services and resources.
- Contribute to neighbourhood improvement initiatives and community projects.
Qualifications
- Experience working in a paid or voluntary capacity with residents and community groups within a diverse community.
- Strong organisational and team‑working skills.
- Clear written and face‑to‑face communication skills with a broad range of people.
- Knowledge and understanding of issues affecting people living in neighbourhoods like Halifax.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in Czech and Slovak.
