Honley CE (VC) Junior, Infant and Nursery School is looking for a talented, caring and enthusiastic person who is looking to progress in their career by developing their skills in leading our fantastic TA team, to commence working with our school as soon as possible.
The focus of the post will be to provide short term cover (across the school, from nursery to Year 6) in the absence of a classroom teacher, as required. The post holder will also support the school in addressing the needs of those students who are identified as vulnerable or disadvantaged, helping them to overcome any barriers to learning so that they can achieve their full potential. The role will include providing classroom support and interventions as necessary.
Successful applicants will have an exciting opportunity to work with our SLT and colleagues to develop the role and impact of our TAs and cover supervisor/learning mentor team.
Key qualities/skills include:
- Child-centred approach
- Experience of providing classroom support
- First class inter-personal skills
- Effective communication, both verbally and in writing
- Computer literate and ability to accurately input and retrieve data from a database or spreadsheet
- Effective both as a team-player and working on own initiative
- Ability to work positively and effectively in a busy school environment
