Overall Purpose
To support the Energy Neighbours team in the secure collection, entry, management, and reporting of project data.
The Data Officer ensures that data is well organized, accessible, and accurate to support project delivery, learning, and impact reporting.
The Data and Information Officer is a key role in the project, bringing expertise and technical skills to the team, sharing these through training and guidance. They ensure there are clear and secure systems and processes to manage data risks and ensure good practice.
The projectβs data systems will include details of community organizations, participants, volunteers, staff, and partners, along with their recordings of activity, feedback, and work. Microsoft 365 will be the main platform for documents and communication.
The Energy Neighbours Data and Information Officer will work closely with the Project Manager and Project Coordinator to ensure effective data capture and reporting.

The Energy Neighbours project adopts a community capacity-building approach, aiming to be inclusive and reduce inequalities, focusing on communities in fuel poverty. It emphasizes working with communities, listening to local priorities, experimenting, learning together, being transparent, accountable, and sharing decision-making power. The project values Asset-Based Community Development, Co-production, Community Wealth-Building, and Community Organising.
Energy Neighbours helps communities reduce energy use, costs, and fossil fuel consumption while strengthening local economies, networks, and connections.
This innovative project is part of the National Lottery Climate Action Fund learning partnership, with the Project Manager ensuring effective sharing of learning across project partners and nationally.
