About This Role:

We are looking for an outstanding Educational Teaching Assistant to work in our Early Years Unit (initially). The desired candidate will have experience in working with children in the foundation stage (Nursery and Reception).

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Be educated to GCSE Grade C or equivalent
  • Love encouraging, motivating and inspiring children through the support they give in order to encourage their learning.
  • Be committed to our ethos that all pupils can achieve at our SHARE Primary Academy.
  • Have great references demonstrating they are a suitable candidate, safe to work with children.

Overall Purpose of the role:

Assisting the teacher in the overall delivery of the Curriculum, undertaking work/care/support programmes in order to enable access to learning for all pupils and the teacher in the management of pupils in the classroom. Delegated responsibility for one-to-one supervision of specific pupils who may have additional needs or SEND or has responsibility for leading and supervising enrichment activities before and after school. Supervising pupils outside of lesson time, including working as a team to provide robust before-school, lunchtime and after-school supervision.

People who have contact with younger children (i.e. primary academy age) are also required to complete a declaration about family or other members of their household.
