To start as soon as possible, the children, staff and governors at Meltham CE Primary School are looking for a person to join our strong and established staff as part of the school Inclusion Team.
Working pattern: Monday - Friday from 8:45am - 3:30pm during term-time.
To commence as soon as possible, and initially on a fixed-term basis subject to the future budgetary provision or the operational needs of the school and is not expected to go beyond 31st August 2027.
Weekly hours: 27 hours 30 minutes
The post provides the opportunity for the successful candidate to work alongside the SENDCo, the school’s Learning Mentor and Senior Inclusion Support worker as part of our school’s Inclusion Team. A full induction is offered, as well as the opportunity to work alongside existing members of the team to plan and support both small groups and individual children with planned learning, SEMH and SEND interventions. The post is initially to support children with SEMH and CCI needs. The post also involves leading and supporting pupils with gardening tasks and sports/games activities, therefore an interest in these areas would be beneficial.
Please note that candidates will be selected on the strength of their recent and relevant experience in relation to the specified role.
In return we can offer you:
- A welcoming and inclusive school
- Enthusiastic children
- A full induction
- A supportive staff and leadership team
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All staff are subject to an enhanced DBS check. Please note a conviction may not exclude candidates from employment but will be considered as part of the selection process.
Visits to the school are encouraged and warmly welcomed. You can also learn more about our school by visiting our website www.melthamceschool.co.uk.
If you would like any further information regarding this role or to arrange a visit please contact Edwina Hirst on 01484 850671.
