Responsibilities:
- Support the English department as an enthusiastic and highly motivated Educational Teaching Assistant.
- Implement and oversee agreed working programmes with individuals and small groups of students by supporting progress through intervention, including extraction groups and in‑class support.
- Work under the guidance of the English Faculty Leader and the SENDCo to support pupils with the GCSE English curriculum up to grade 5.
- Carry out cover supervision duties within the English department for a maximum of 1 day’s equivalent per week.
- Collaborate flexibly with colleagues and build positive relationships with students and staff, demonstrating a respectful and caring attitude.
Qualifications:
- Competence in understanding and delivering GCSE English content up to grade 5.
- Experience working with children in a school environment.
- Appropriate literacy skills to support students.
- A commitment to uphold the Catholic ethos and practices of the school.
