Our Governors are seeking an Educational Support Assistant. Applications are invited for individuals who can work as part of a team to support the learning and welfare of pupils in our school.

Location: School Hill, Kirkburton, Huddersfield HD8 0SG

Contract Details: Temporary, fixed term contract until 31st August 2027. 32.50 hours per week – term time only. Grade 5. Salary £19,100 – £19,403 per annum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • You will support the learning of a pupil with medical needs and assist in classroom teaching during lesson time.
  • You will be expected to work with diverse backgrounds, maintain high standards of child welfare, and liaise with staff and parents.
  • You will also support the Christian ethos of the school.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Excellent classroom teaching assistant with high standards and expectations.
  • Hard‑working, enthusiastic and committed.
  • Team player with supportive attitude.
  • Experience or willingness to learn working with a child with medical needs.
  • Initiative, innovation and the ability to take initiative.
  • Good verbal communication skills, able to relate to children and young people from diverse backgrounds.
