You will be working across 4 services covering for driver/handyperson A/L and absence so there will be a need to start at different venues across Kirklees. The role will be predominately driving but there will also be some maintenance/general repairs required too.

You will join a highly skilled staff team who support people to find hobbies they enjoy, while setting and achieving personal goals to take control of their lives. The Role: We are seeking someone with a ‘can-do’ attitude who can undertake basic maintenance of buildings and grounds.
The working pattern is usually between 8am – 10am and 3pm – 5pm Monday to Friday
Key responsibilities will include:
- Maintenance of Equipment and Buildings
- Driver Duties inc webbing/clamping
Due to the manual nature of this job a good level of fitness is essential as is the ability and license to drive a light goods vehicle.
You must hold a full and valid manual driving licence – with category D1 or willing to undergo training to gain PCV. You must also be willing to undertake and pass the Kirklees Council driving test and travel between sites using a Council vehicle.
