Responsibilities:
- This role is in the Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) Student Support Centre (SCC) within a mainstream school, working in specialised units to provide short‑term or part‑time placements for behavioural and emotional support.
- You will support children at risk of exclusion (with or without an EHCP), re‑engaging them back into their mainstream school.
- The provision may, when suitable, provide options for a permanently excluded pupil.
- To promote inclusion and improve outcomes for vulnerable children in Key Stage 1 and subsequently support and inform successful transition back into their own mainstream school.
- You will work in partnership with schools, organising, delivering and evaluating learning for children, and involving parents/carers in the process.
- This involves working closely with the SENCOs, class teachers and support staff in a range of mainstream schools and linking with other agencies as appropriate.
Qualifications:
- A Disclosure and Barring Service Certificate at Enhanced Level will be required for this post.
