Advert Wording: 2 Fixed term posts are available to join our newly formed Student Support Centre which is a 2 year pilot for pupils aged 4-7 years old with SEMH needs based at Savile Town CE (VC) I & N School.

To start in October 2026

Secondments will be considered.

We are looking for the following posts:

  • A full time Specialist Teacher MPS/ UPS & SEN 2 allowance
  • A Reintegration Worker - Grade 9 - 30 hours per week

Responsibilities

This role is in the Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) Student Support Centre (SCC) in Specialised units within a mainstream school offering short-term or part-time placements for behavioural and emotional support. You will support children at risk of exclusion (with or without an EHCP), whilst re engaging them back into their mainstream school. In addition, the provision may, when suitable, provide options for a permanently excluded pupil. To promote inclusion, and improve outcomes for vulnerable children in Key Stage 1 and subsequently support and inform successful transition back into their own mainstream school. You will work in partnership with schools in relation to organising, delivering, and evaluating learning for children, and involving parents/carers in the process. This involves working closely with the SENCOs, class teachers and support staff in a range of mainstream schools and linking with other agencies as appropriate.
