Fairfield is a large special school which provides for learners with a diverse range of complex and profound learning difficulties including physical and medical needs from 3-19 years. Fairfield was judged to be a ‘good’ school by OFSTED in June 2022.
We are looking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic Interventions Coordinator who is committed to supporting the learning and welfare of our pupils. Under the direction of the senior leadership team, the main duties of the job role are to:
- Work with Provision leads and senior leaders to identify individual and group intervention priorities
- With leaders, plan intervention schedules for individual pupils and groups across school
- Plan intervention activities with clear aims for groups/individuals
- Collect progress evidence for all pupils
- With leaders, evaluate the impact of interventions and next steps
Interventions will include indoor and outdoor activities on site, offsite educational visits within local communities, delivering home learning for absent pupils. Experience of working with children/young people in a school environment is essential, and experience of working with pupils who have profound and multiple learning difficulties and/or Autism would be an advantage.
