Part Time Receptionist Required to start 1 September 2026. The working hours will be 23.75 starting at 8.15am finishing at 1.00pm. An exciting opportunity has arisen for someone who is friendly, enthusiastic and well organised. We are looking for a hardworking person who possesses these qualities to join our busy Business Support Team.
The position is part‑time and the hours of work will be 8:15 to 1:00pm Monday to Friday, during term time plus 5 Inset days with a further 5 days to be worked during the school holidays. Our receptionist is the first point of contact for visitors to the school, and we are looking for someone who is welcoming and friendly whilst also being well organised and able to manage a wide range of queries and requests received every day. Our Business Support Team is dedicated to ensuring that the day‑to‑day operations of the school run smoothly. You will be a valuable part of achieving this.
Duties
- Welcoming visitors as they arrive.
- Keeping the school diary up to date.
- Updating pupil records.
- Preparing rooms ahead of meetings.
- Generally assisting in the day‑to‑day work of our very busy office.
Qualifications and Skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people.
- Conscientious, efficient, honest and friendly.
- Good general administrative skills, including experience of a range of ICT packages and basic office skills.
- Ability to multi‑task and work to deadlines while remaining calm under pressure.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word (basic IT skills).
- Positive attitude to hard work and adaptability.
Training and Development
Full training on the IT packages used in the school will be provided.
