Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for the supervision and care of pupils attending the Breakfast/After School Club and will organise and provide an appropriate range of activities and food.
  • You will ensure the health and safety, welfare, good conduct and behaviour of the pupils is met in accordance with the practices and procedures of the school.

Requirements

  • Previous experience of working with children/young people in a school environment.
  • Literacy and numeracy skills in order to write simple reports and perform simple calculations.
  • Verbal communication skills in order to liaise with children/young people and other staff members.

As part of your wider duties and responsibilities you are required to promote and actively support the Councils responsibilities towards safeguarding. Safeguarding is about keeping people safe and protecting them from harm, neglect, abuse and injury. It is about creating safe places, being vigilant and doing something about any concerns you might have. Safeguarding relates to everyone who may be vulnerable, not just the very old and the very young. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All staff are subject to an enhanced DBS check. A conviction may not exclude candidates from appointment but will be considered as part of the recruitment process. This job is subject to a DBS check at the appropriate level.
