Ings Grove House provides high-quality intermediate and transitional care for individuals recovering from hospital stays or periods of illness. Our dedicated multi-disciplinary team works closely with each person to support their rehabilitation and promote independence in a warm, respectful, and person-centred environment.

We are proud to offer compassionate care that upholds dignity, choice, and wellbeing—and we’re looking for an experienced Cook to join our friendly team.

The Role

As our Cook, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the health and recovery of our residents by preparing and presenting a variety of nutritious home-cooked meals. You’ll be responsible for producing up to 40 meals and desserts daily for lunch and tea, ensuring every dish is nutritious, appetising, and tailored to individual dietary needs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and presenting high-quality, home-cooked meals and desserts that cater for a variety of dietary needs
  • Supporting the development of nutrition and hydration plans for individuals
  • Working collaboratively with the care team to deliver excellent customer service
  • Ordering provisions and maintaining accurate records

  • Commitment to high standards of food safety and hygiene
  • Willingness to complete training, including:
  • – Food Hygiene Certificate (training provided if not already held)
  • – Level 2 Award in Food Allergen Awareness and Control in Catering
