Scholes Village Primary School Activity Club Assistant(s) & Breakfast Club and/or After School Club

Grade 4. Required from September 2026.

The children, staff and Governors wish to recruit an enthusiastic, highly motivated and capable activity club assistant/assistant to play a key role in the development of our breakfast and after school club.

Essential qualifications

  • Experience of working with children/young people in a school environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with pupils, parents and staff members.
  • All staff are subject to an enhanced DBS check; a conviction may not exclude candidates but will be considered as part of the recruitment process.

Hours of work

  • Breakfast Club from 7:30am to 8:45am Monday to Thursday.
  • After school club from 3:15pm to 6:00pm Thursday and Friday (if applicable).

Responsibilities

  • Work alongside other staff members.
  • Prepare the rooms for breakfast and/or after school club snack and play activities.
  • Provide the children with a healthy, balanced breakfast/snack.
  • Promote and encourage games and activities in the club.
  • Work as a team with other staff and liaise with teachers as needed.
  • Ensure appropriate behaviour and deal with any issues during the club.
  • Liaise with parents.
