Role

Residential Manager – Lead the future of our homes with purpose and impact. You will bring strong experience in residential childcare leadership and a proven ability to deliver high‑quality, child‑centred services. You will help drive our plans to expand and strengthen our residential offer in Kirklees, collaborating with the Emotional Wellbeing Team and partner agencies across the sector.

Requirements

  • Registered Manager qualifying status or willingness to work towards it.
  • At least 2 years of relevant residential care experience within the last 5 years.
  • At least one year of staff supervision and management experience in a care role.
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (England) or equivalent – we support attainment.
  • Knowledge of supporting the physical, psychological and social development of young people.
  • In‑depth knowledge of Safeguarding and child protection procedures.
  • Extensive knowledge of the Children’s Home Regulations 2015 and Ofsted inspection framework.
  • Experience working with partner agencies.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Confidence in managing HR and performance management.
