Location: Windmill CE (VC) Primary School, Upper Batley Lane, Batley WF17 0NP, West Yorkshire
Salary: MPS/UPS, and up to 2 SEN points (depending on experience)
Hours: 32 hours 5 minutes
Contract: Full‑time permanent
Start Date: January 2027 or as soon as possible
Responsibilities:
- Develop and lead strategies that impact the learning and inclusion of children with complex communication and interaction needs.
- Plan and deliver sessions to meet the individual needs of learners.
- Work in partnership with parents/carers, families and other professionals to maximise outcomes for pupils.
- Collaborate with school leadership and teaching staff to ensure pupils’ progress is continually monitored and improved.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Experience in specialist teaching for children with complex communication and interaction needs (KS0‑KS2).
- Reflective, calm and resilient professional with a positive attitude.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people; subject to a Criminal Record Check via DBS.
- Knowledge of British Sign Language and other communication supports is desirable.
