Job Description: Fairfield is a large special school which provides for learners with a diverse range of complex and profound learning difficulties including physical and medical needs from 3-19 years. Fairfield was recently judged to be ‘Strong standard in all areas’ by OFSTED in June 2026.

We are looking to appoint a highly motivated, enthusiastic and skilled Educational Teaching Assistant who is committed to supporting the learning and welfare of our pupils. The successful candidate will be a positive and calm individual committed to providing the best outcomes for all learners.

Experience of working with children/young people in a school environment is essential, and experience of working with pupils who have complex or profound and multiple learning difficulties would be an advantage. As a member of the team, you will be good at working with and supporting colleagues.

The successful candidate will be keen to develop their skills and we will invest in quality CPD to enable this. Fairfield School has a proud commitment to developing our staff through continued professional development, and we fully utilise the Apprenticeship Levy to enable staff to gain on the job qualifications.
