Attendance Co-ordinator – Ossett Academy

Ossett Academy and Accord Sixth Form are seeking to appoint an Attendance Coordinator to secure the beneficial and regular attendance of all pupils in the Academy, by supporting pupils and families and liaising and working closely with other agencies.

Responsibilities

  • Secure the beneficial and regular attendance of all pupils by supporting pupils and families and liaising with other agencies.
  • Build relationships with families and pupils to improve attendance and reduce Persistently Absent pupils, with a focus on disadvantaged groups.
  • Work closely with Pastoral Year Leaders and the wider Pastoral and Inclusion teams to review individual pupil attendance and progress towards school targets.
  • Support teams in instigating and delivering attendance strategies.
  • Collaborate with the Trust and academy teams to promote a welcoming, safe learning environment and effective safeguarding practices.

Qualifications and experience

  • Experience of working to improve pupil attendance and understanding of related frameworks and policies.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues across multiple agencies.
  • Commitment to inclusion, safeguarding, and high professional standards.
