Kirklees Markets plays a vital role in providing market services across various locations, including Huddersfield, Dewsbury, Cleckheaton, and smaller community markets like Birstall\’s weekly and monthly markets, as well as Cleckheaton\’s monthly Farmers Market. In addition to running these markets, Kirklees Markets organises community events and provides market equipment for hire, including the setup and erection of stalls across Kirklees.
Currently, Kirklees Markets is undergoing an exciting period of redevelopment, particularly in Huddersfield and Dewsbury. This transformation aims to move beyond a purely transactional model, evolving market spaces into hubs that promote diverse community outcomes. The new approach will focus on enhancing customer service and creating rich customer experiences, making these markets more than just places to shop but vibrant community hubs that offer a wider range of activities and services.
