We are looking for an Assistant Legal Officer (paralegal) to join our Litigation team

Kirklees Legal Services is one of the largest legal practices in the area and carries out legal work required by the Council.

The team deals with a wide range of contentious and non-contentious matters with a focus on civil litigation and housing litigation although you may have the opportunity to assist on other areas of legal work covered by the team.

You should have relevant experience in a legal office dealing with litigation with some experience of dealing with contentious matters and court procedures. Knowledge of civil procedure rules and procedures is desirable.

English to GCSE level (or equivalent competencies) and the ability to communicate professionally and clearly is essential, as are strong personal organisational skills , the ability to manage competing priorities and work to deadlines.

You will receive comprehensive training and support on our first-class case management systems.
