Role Overview
Kirklees Council are advertising this role on behalf of Newhall Park Primary School. Start date: Tuesday 1 September 2026. Please contact the school office to discuss the negotiable hours and days of work.
We are seeking to appoint a dedicated, motivated and enthusiastic administration assistant to work within our business services team. Applicants must have a polite, welcoming and professional manner and be able to work both independently and as part of the business services team. You will be the first point of contact in providing a comprehensive reception service to all visitors to the school.

Ideal Candidate
- Have a professional, calm and friendly approach.
- Previous experience working in a school, finance or administrative post is desirable but not essential.
- Excellent IT skills.
- Be motivated, innovative, adaptable and enthusiastic in all aspects of their work.
- Have confidence in using Management Information Systems and an ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate effectively with a range of people, including parents/carers, pupils, visitors and staff.
- Show initiative and have the capacity to problem solve in a calm and professional manner.
