Candidates must be able to demonstrate the following essential criteria:

  • Accredited Financial Investigator (Part 2 and Part 8) with successful completion of PDP and a minimum of 2 years’ experience.
  • This post requires Enhanced DBS clearance.

Part of West Yorkshire Joint Services, West Yorkshire Trading Standards is an exciting and fast paced organisation serving five District Councils within West Yorkshire – Bradford, Calderdale, Kirklees, Leeds and Wakefield.

The Financial Investigations Team supports criminal investigations across the spectrum of Trading Standards criminal investigations including financial exploitation and abuse, food fraud, unsafe cars, consumer product safety, cheap and illicit tobacco, doorstep crime, scams and fraud. You will have a good working knowledge and understanding of the legislative framework and national guidance and will have wide ranging experience in financial investigation including collection and analysis of information.
