Kirklees Council is advertising this role on behalf of West Yorkshire Joint Services. Part of West Yorkshire Joint Services, The West Yorkshire Trading Standards is an exciting and fast‑paced organisation serving five District Councils within West Yorkshire – Bradford, Calderdale, Kirklees, Leeds and Wakefield.

The Financial Investigations Team supports criminal investigations across the spectrum of Trading Standards criminal investigations including financial exploitation and abuse, food fraud, unsafe cars, consumer product safety, cheap and illicit tobacco, doorstep crime, scams and fraud.

You will have a good working knowledge and understanding of the legislative framework and national guidance and will have wide ranging experience in financial investigation including collection and analysis of information.

Essential Criteria:

  • Accredited Financial Investigator (Part 2 and Part 8) with successful completion of PDP and a minimum of 2 years’ experience.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance.
